Free Univolt
From 1984 310 Limited. Was working when I replaced it. Decided to go with an Intelipower when I replaced the batteries.
You pick it up or pay for shipping.

Guy,
I'm going to Reno Thursday to buy a 1984 Airstream, most likely. I'm a rookie. I'm a romantic. I'm all excited. And I may be biting of WAY more than I can chew.
It sounds like you have (or had) one, and your advice would be very close to priceless to me right now. We are down by Sac. and I'm willing pay you back for your help, somehow.
I'm a high-school teacher (low-income) who on a 5-year break to be a stay-home mom (even lower income). But I can bake and my hubby is a computer guru-geek, so perhaps we can thank you with our special talents. Oh, and the kids thank you, in advance, too. They are so excited to finally camp.
Please call us so we can get a grounded, objective opinion about this vear Airstream.

Glad to see it get a home. I donated my old Univolt to a local ham radio operator. He is rebuilding it and updating to a regulated power supply for radios.

It would work fine, but is not a very desirable converter. It is a single stage, always charging at full rate. It is not very friendly to batteries in general. It is also very heavy. For trailer use, I would purchase a modern converter/charger from here:
BestConverter - Inteli-Power, WFCO, Parallax, Xantrex, Samlex, Electrical Supplies
and if necessary, a 12V fuse box from here:

Thanks for the information and thanks Guy for the offer, I will wait and purchase a newer converter at a later time so on to the next party interested.
