Factory WF 600T inverter died

The World Friendship 600 watt inverter in our 06 Safari died about a week ago. I think it was conveniently past it's 2 year warranty. I've got 12 volts on the input terminals so I know the in-line fuse is OK. No output and no lights on the unit and no light on the remote on/off wall switch. I have the TV running off shore AC. Has anybody else had this happen? I'm wondering if there are "hidden" internal fuses. Anyhow I will definitely replace it (and I'm spoiled on the pure sine wave type now). Very interested in a higher output unit. Like a 1000 or 1200 watt model. I'd like to hear from anybody who knows what these things cost. And from anybody who has replaced a defective one.
Thanks,
KL

The 600w inverter in my '06 Intl. died - looks like for the second time. Better news is that, based on when I bought my AS, they were both still under warranty. Jack

I'll be talking to our dealer today and I'll ask if there known problems with these inverters. I looked on the WFCO site and I don't see any other inverters besides the 600 watt models. There are several other manufacturers that make pure sine wave inverters (like Xantrax), so I'll check and see if I can swap another brand 1000 watt model in.

The feature list of the WFCO 600W inverter includes, "Reverse Polarity protection (Fused)".

I seems there may be a fuse tucked away in there somewhere. I'm away from my trailer so I can't look, and amazingly I can't find detailed literature on the web ... Looking at a fuzzy marketing picture I can see there's something like a fuse holder next to the 12 inputs.

Cheers,
-jd.

Yes! There is a hidden fuse...

In the WF 600. The Oasis RV guys (credit given where due) pulled it, took it apart and replaced the fuse. It looks just like the trailer, automotive DC fuses. Works just like new again. Unfortunately I now also have a brand new (in the box) Xantrex 1200W with remote switch. Anybody interested? If not i t goes on eBay.
