Well yes, but I have a small inverter just like that one and I never use it anymore. Pretty much all my devices charge via USB so I don't need to invert to 110.

However I agree that Airstream should have an option for those who want the 12vdc power points for other uses.

I think the USB plugs require AC power? Would they work with factory inverter if so? Just out I curiosity ?

Not sure about 2015. My 2014 has one by the DVD player.

I have not picked up my 2015 Serenity yet so I don't know what circuit the USB plugs are on. However the USB standard is for about 5vDC out so I don't know why you would need the inverter. I would assume these run off the battery circuit.

USB outlets are wired directly into 12VDC circuits. No conversion required. Optimally, they use a dedicated circuit with independent fusing. Most of the USB ports that I install have a max. rating of 15 amps.

So long as the devices you use can charge via USB, you're all set - you just need a USB or USB / Lightning cable. If that's not the case, you may still need an inverter so you can plug in the requisite power brick and charge up your laptop. Our tow vehicle has a built-in inverter / AC outlet, so we can also charge from there while driving.
