I don't expect everything but for the money it would make sense to not have to change out a converter so you can stay plugged in without roasting your batteries.... You can either call Randy from Best Converter, or Lew, I'm sure either will be happy to help you. I've had dealings with both of them, and think highly of them both.

Randy can fix you up with the best product for your needs. My personal choices are WFCO, Parralax Paramode Temp Assure, and the new Xantrex units. YMMV

Congratulations on your purchase.
Money is a limiting factor sometimes, time is another limit, we only have so much so be careful.
I like the ideas of the 'old dawgs' that put quality and quantity time in the receiving inspection before taking delivery.
We lived in ours in Maine in December for a month with 1 battery while waiting for our home. It was fun!
I like to keep it simple because when the poop hits the rotating blades it is easier to get back to where you started from, simple.
Good people here, great ideas, also, take time to meet Airstreamers, there are all kinds of them.

Hey Brian and Donna - nice to know we aren't alone in the electrical confusion department

I think we are going to go w 2Air's advice to go with the standard and give it a go before mucking around too much. Seems there is lots you could do but nothing you immediately MUST do. Other than a generator.

Luna's maiden voyage is next Saturday!!!!

Great choice. Using the unit and trying different things will lead you to providing for your true needs.

Just take time to check the batteries on a regular basis. Keep the level topped off with distilled water, and keep them clean. If you buy a gasoline generator at the start, keep it maintained and run it on a regular schedule.

After boiling out the H2O in one of my batteries due to leaving it hooked up forever and neglecting to check levels , the topic of converters is very timely for me. 3-stage sounds very convincing as well as different batteries... am looking to cut/reduce maintenance issues where ever I can and focus more on where I can't.

A quality 3-stage converter/charger and 'set-em and forget-em' AGM batteries will solve your problems for quite a long time!

OK just when I thought it was safe to go in the water....I'm confused.....

In my Argy I have a "Univolt" which I guess cooks the batteries. So I was going to upgrade to to the "Inteli-power 9200" 45 or 60 amp unit. Along with a complete re-wire of the coach in total.....35 year old wiring cannot be trusted...

Now the question is....do I go with the Intel' or ??? 45 or 60 amp?

Pitch the whole thing and get a tent?????
