electric questions

Hi ,
Newbie to forums ( not new RV'er). With our new 25 FC, I have a 50 amp Autoformer and a 50 amp Surge Guard 44270 Entry Level Portable Surge Protector - 50 Amp.
? Which one do I plug into the campground pedestal first ?
Second question--? When at storage shed I use a Battery Tender . Do I hook +to first battery + battery terminal and - to second Battery - terminal ?
Thanks,
Lafitte

Autoformer first. Surge protector may detect a low voltage situation and shut off current. If the autoformer is after the surge protector, it won’t have a chance to step things up.

I only use the autoformer when volts look low. Crowded, old campgrounds mostly. Otherwise I leave that heave thing in the ‘trunk’. But I use it maybe 1/3 to 1/2 the time.
