Just a reminder to you to check your battery water level. Even if you have a triple stage charger

I was removing my front gaucho, subject for another topic, and my charger cycled and the lights went totally out for a second and the radio turned off. When the charger came back on, lights again

I thought uh oh I unpluged the trailer and pulled the battery. It was dry as a bone. It took nearly a gallon of distilled water to get fluid above the plates.

I plugged it back in and appears to be keeping a charge

Hopefully no permanent damage. I have a statpower tri-state charger, but I never checked the battery water level having owned the trailer 3.5 years now.....

So, make it part of your chores!

Sorry about this hijacking but it is sorta related......if/when I remove my batteries for the winter and bring them home to my garage,

should I put them on anything (like cardboard) other than the cement floor?

should I put them on a charger? should I just leave them on a charger?

if, to be left on the charger, how do you connect two batteries to one charger?

Having given away my 3 amp charger, can I use my 15 amp charger? Maybe I could alternate batteries on it like once a week?

With our solar panels keeping the batteries nicely charged in the Arizona sun, I check at least once a month and top off if necessary. So far I've seen very little decrease in the electrolyte in the cells.
