Do all AS ship with Interstate?

I am curious if my battery on a previously owned 2019 has been swapped out by a nefarious actor at the dealership (there are other confirmed examples of poor behavior!).

The continental Rv/marine starting battery battery (an odd choice in itself) has a sticker on it saying 2017, but it is a 2019 sport 22 FB. Also, I always seem to see people referencing interstate lead acid batteries, wondering if perhaps that means airstream always uses interstate.

Mine came with interstate batteries. Unfortunately when an AS is on the lot for some time they don’t take care of the batteries and they are basically shot in a short time. It could be (no sure) that this happened on some other AS and yours happened to be someone’s replacement part. Then they put a different battery in yours. But if you have a 2019 you should require them to make good on a new Interstate battery at least.

Our 2018 International, equipped with the factory solar package, also came with Lifeline AGM batteries.

You bought your used trailer from a dealership? I thought I remembered you linking to a private classified ad in a previous thread.

Somebody changed out the battery. Whether it was the dealer or whether the PO or whether it was "nefarious" I can not say. My guess is that the battery was dead on the dealer lot so they stuck one they had in it.

You need a more appropriate battery. That alone will give you a good boost in boondocking.

Hi

If your trailer is a "not factory solar" version, it should have had Interstate flooded battery(s) in it. On a 2019 you have a 3 year warranty on most things. That does not seem to extend to the battery. Even so, Interstate does have a warranty and that should have covered any replacement on a fairly new trailer.

If you visit JC, you will see stacks and stacks of Interstate batteries sitting there ready to go into trailers. It's all they use. Indeed, stocking more than one type of flooded cell simply makes for more headaches for them.

Yeah it’s a bit complicated. Bought it from a private party but it was stored and repaired st a dealer. I believe some parts were stripped during its time in the dealer.
