Converting to original bambi battery box

The PO of my 1961 bambi installed a two battery box on the tongue and abandoned the original battery box by hooking the batteries up to an exterior outlet on the front. The box looks horrible and I want to put my spare there. The old box is still on the trailer and I want to install the old tractor trailer style battery. Thoughts?
