Converter replacement

My latest purchase is going to get a new converter, (along with everything else) and I'm wondering which one to go with. It's a 1974 Ambassador. It had a small interior fire, so due to smoke damage it has been completely gutted. I don't plan to add any outlandish battery combos, or do weird electrical related experiments. I'm just looking for simple and reliable power. The only two options we may add are a convection microwave and solar panels. Budget is going to be a factor as well since we need to buy EVERYTHING.

Thanks for your wisdom!

A Progressive Dynamics PD 9245 will do you just fine then. It is a quality 3 stage converter/charger and the cost is under $200 (sometimes you can find them for much less). If you get a better deal on a PD 9255 that is another good one. 45 and 55 on the end are the amp capacity. You need no more than 45 but 55 won't hurt anything.
