Central location for battery and converter

Thinking of centrally locating bat.,converter,breaker panel etc.under twin bed behind wheel well.Anyone have a pic, or has seen a post with a clean install
of centrally located electrics?

The Award 23 we had before the Airstream featured such an arrangement. The batteries were under the passenger side twin bed, near the rear of the trailer and accessed from the outside, behind an access door. The batteries were on a pull out tray so you could easily service them. The converter & panel were under the forward end of the driver side twin. Only issues were, heat from the converter in summer and the noise from the converter vent fan when sleeping.

I think that is a great idea. Having the weight over the axels and a central location makes sense. I've always scratched my head on some designs that run 20+ feet of DC wire. It results in voltage drop that directly affects the converter operation in many cases. Simply increasing the wire size can help but often not feasable to run it.

I replaced the 12v mounted on the tongue with 2 6v lifelines. one under the gaucho the other in the closet, both over the axle on our 61 bambi. works good. ran the cables in electrical conduit that goes through the floor then attached to the axle. 2" pvc glued sweep bends come through the floor next to each battery. best converter--i.e. randy fixed me up with the electrics. the 61 is standing tall! i'll try for some pictures tomorrow as it is, i think, a clean installation.
