In my 66 Overlander overhaul, I added A/C and plan to replace the old oven with a microwave. The old service looks to be a 30 amp main feeding two 20 amp breakers. I still need to hook the 120 V A/C (the top wire coming out of the wall) to the panel. Do I stay with a 30 amp box with more 20s, or do these upgrades force me up to a 50 amp service? And should I run a dedicated line to the microwave? Any help is greatly appreciated.

As long as you don't run the A/C and the Microwave at the same time the 30 amp service will work for you. Was there A/C in the trailer originally?
What size Microwave are you installing? How many watts?

I answered my own question about the A/C. I think you should increase the panel size in order that you have a separate breaker for the A/C. A new home run for the Microwave would be in order as well since you are increasing the panel size.
A 30 amp service will still be adequate for your needs. With the afore mentioned restriction on the Microwave and A/C.

I was planning to add a box with 2 more breakers. Is it OK to run the new wire for the microve under the floor using proper grommets where needed as opposed to pulling interior panels?
