Northern Tool has the battery minder on sale for 44.95, I just got one as my old charger not only stopped working, it sucked all the juice out of my Porsche battery!

Did you get a 12248? If so I really goofed; paid $108 + shipping. By the way do I really care how hot my battery(ies) are?

If I do, I'll get the sensor thing for Brenda for a New Year present.

She has already gotten a new grinder for sharpening her yard tools and now the charger......she is getting too much

Thank U all for the above info. I just bought 2 new group 27 batterys for Miss Kitty. I did buy a float charger that I have connected to them in the shop they are not yet installed because of repairing some PO issues.

I got the 12117 and the battery check device that came as free bonus. It was 44 bucks at NT. I mainly will be using it on the 911 as that car sits during the week. Wish I had gotten it before my Yellow Top died.

I have been using them AND installing them as chassis charging systems on stationary MoHos for about a year now. They work great to maintain your batteries when not in use and are a true 3-stage charging system that will not harm your batteries, whatever type you use.
Curious what you recommend for 6-volt charging? The BatteryMINDer 12248 for series connected or the 1-amp 12106 for individual 6-volt battery?
