Some of the newer batts don't have the vent hose connection.
Our 63 Safari had the single BB on the street-side, very tight fit. Any evidence of it shorting out?
With the Classic, I had a brand new Xantrex converter fail the first time out. New Butterflies die.
Turn some lights on, discharge to 50%, plug in to shore power and test converter output.
If it's not the wiring or battery, then the converter is definitely suspect.
