Battery Desulfator/charger for AGM Batteries

I had a recent experience with my sail boat AGM battery whereby a totally discharged battery was recovered to its full capability by using a smart charger/desulfator. From what I have read, desulfator chargers typically increase the longevity of wet cell batteries. Has anyone successfully modified the existing wiring and connections to incorporate a compatible desulfator/charger so as when the batteries are charging either from a land connection and/or solar panels the desulfator function is operable? If so I would appreciate some pointers on such an install. Having a 2017 Fly Cloud with factory installed solar panels, I would consider such a undertaking.

My solar charger and battery charger has that ability built in, but I have seen several stand alone units on the market. How the work into the system I don't know, but they must be including instructions.
