Battery Advice?

I was just given a UPS system (for computer equipment) which includes 4 Deka 12V 135AH SLA AGM Glass Mat batteries (Unigy 31HR5000S) a Tripp-Lite APS1250 Inverter/Charger and a Xantrex DC Disconnect/Overcurrent Module. I was wondering if the batteries would be suited to adding to my solar system and also if any of the other equipment would be worth incorporating into the system as well.

I already have a built in inverter/charger (Freedom 458 Series Model 20), solar panels, remote control panels, etc. Mostly interested in knowing if the batteries are something i can use.

Thought maybe some of the techies out there might be familiar with them as they are predominantly manufactured for use in UPS systems.

I am pretty sure these batteries will work perfectly with your solar system. We have 4 AGM batteries hooked up to ours, and I don't think these are really any different for the UPS application.

I wish someone would have given me 4 AGM batteries! Those puppies are expensive!

On further inspection, these batteries may have some differences in how they they need to be charged. I would contact the manufacturer.
