Hello......I just brought my "new to me" 1985 345 home today after a long 14 hour drive! Everything went well....I have a question on how to get the AC to work. I plugged in all the cords and made sure that all connections were good. How do I switch it over in the Coach to show on the interior panel display that I am acctually on the AC and not on battery anymore? Thanks!
Don't know about you rig but on mine (84) if your 120Volt outlets have power, you're on AC. If you have a dc voltmeter you should get a reading of 13.2+ volts at your 12 outlets.

I just relized that the Coach is seeing the power because the air con. is workig without the generator. But the AC light on the panel above the sink is not lit.....Does this sound right??
Correction, my rig does have an AC light, it has never worked so I forgot about it. I have a AC Volt meter that the PO picked up at Camping World plugged in to an outlet in the kitchen. I can always tell if I have AC by glancing at it.

My Power On light doesn't work either because my converter/charger was changed out from the Univolt to an IntelliPower. Take a look at your converter and see if you can find a stray small gray wire that is not connected. I easily found mine in my '77 Excella 500 and my current '86 Sovereign. To get mine to work I would have to plug into a 110 volt outlet a small 110v.-12v. transformer you can pick up at any Radio Shack to power the gray wire so that the light would come on. I just keep this plugged in

You can purchase the circuit checking device at many hardware stores. It has red and yellow lights. If the ground is correct, correct polarity and everything else checks out then two yellow lights on the right light up. As you can see, i'm good to go.

Those AC outlet testers are really handy to have. The volt meter is handy too. I encountered a campground where our A/C would trip the breaker after a few minutes. Other people were having the same problem. I had to pull out a Digital VOM and measure the AC and it was 102 Volts with the AC running and 106 Volts without the AC running. Yikes, needless to say, we turned the AC off. I added a plug in volt meter to my trailer now.
