Ladies & gents thought I'd pass along a great deal not commonly found at your local Home Depot. Just purchased a cordless Ryobi hand held vacuum and will be purchasing their 3 gallon one also. I thought of adding a big 9.0ah battery for power & longevity.
Problem is the cost. I'm sitting here at HD as I write (in their Cabana... sweet!) and their 6.0 ah is locked up behind a spiral spring security thingie list for $129.
Here you go. Get them while you can. This battery should last me weeks of light dirt pick up here & there in the AS.

Just received mine today took around four hours to charge on the slow charger. Excited to see what rhe difference is between this and the puny one is.

I stuck with 18.v. DeWalt.
That way all my cordless tools use the same battery.
When one battery died, rather than pay the insane price of new ones, I replaced it with a no name battery from Amazon. Looks the same, uses the same charger, and other than it having no logo, I can't tell the difference.
I'm convinced tool makers (like printers) give away the device knowing the supplies down the road will pay dividends.

Yup. I have an extensive collection of battery powered tools, and the replacement batteries are a budget killer when they go bad. I keep a close eye on sales at my favorite big box home improvement stores and a local lumberyard for reasonable prices.

I use 20 volt DeWalt tools for the “same battery” advantage as well. Biggest thing is to care for the batteries by not killing them totally, and recharging promptly. Lithium ion batteries seem to live a lot longer that my old nickel-cadmium batteries as well. The price of nicad batteries has gone through the roof lately as well.

I *think* the leading cause of battery death is having it on fast charging mode as explained by someone on video with a PhD in battery tech. Something about fast charging over & over causing micro fissures in the Li-on battery.
So I'm good with slow and go.
