Question amp meters

We all know to plug in your volt meter and plolarity check when you get in a campground. How many of us have cut on the mircowave or coffe pot while the ac was running to only trip a circuit. I would like to have a amp meter so I could see what my actual power draw was so I could measure each device and monitor it as I use power in my unit. Has anyone installed a remote amp meter in their unit.

When I am working on something and have a question, I use the amprobe I carry in my kit. I am not that curious most times to warrent a full time meter.
