The cost of the Airstream Inverter option is around $900.00. I know it's a true sine wave inverter but that still sounds expensive compared to other models that I've found doing a Google search. Does anyone know what brand Airstream installs and if this is not only an adequate size at 600watts but a good price installed by the factory?
It is not just the inverter. At least in my case the 120V wiring has to be run in the opposite direction than the regular wiring.
My inverter runs my TV, Sattelite DVR and DVD Player full time. THe only thing they should have done was install an outlet in the bedroom so I can watch TV in bed while "boon docking"

Airstream uses the WFCO pure sine inverter and it is a good one. $900 means they are charging $600 to install it. I don't know how many hours they figure, but I do it in less than one. We carry it for under $300.

Randy does have great prices on the WFCO inverter and quick delivery but Randy, some of the floor plans require quite a bit of work and feeding possibly one or two romex circuits back through a small raceway to intercept and supply 120v to the flat screen TV's and supply the refrigerator and other outlets from a circuit that doesn't come through the inverter. It can be done but I spent a couple of hours planning ours and the connection to the battery since everything gets mounted up under the front sofa/gaucho in our 25'CCD.
