'64 Bambi II Univolt wiring

Hello all, I need help!

Problem: We were going to keep the Univolt for this season and use a battery maintainer while on shore power to charge the battery. When the maintainer is plugged in, it charges but never goes into float mode. I'm suspecting this is due to the 64 Uni's odd 12 volt/AC low voltage output and switch box.

The maintainer is new and is connected directly to a new deep cycle battery. 110 power comes from the trailer system.

Can anyone tell me what is going on? Why the maintainer will not quit charging? I tested it on another system with no problems.

I am currently looking into replacing the Univolt with a new converter and am trying to figure out the original wiring in order to do a proper install. So far, I haven't found fuses, but there are "safety devices" in the switch box. They look like modern re-settable circuit breakers.

Thank you in advance for your help.
