2004 Bambi International with two 24 size battery spots on tounge. Want mount 29dc

So I have two battery spots which is nice not complaining. I want to add one big Walmart Maxx dc29. I started the job and added two 2x6, redrilled holes bigger to attach 1/4 inch. I put wood on and secured with stainless bolts and silicone underneath. Looks like it will work for attaching new big battery box now. Painted it all black took care of little rust on battery support. Do you think drilling the 2x6 in four more spots and adding 1/4 inch bolts will be ok? Worried about wood failing and or box falling off. May just return battery and get dc24 but boo lol.

advantage is Walmart DC29 Maxx is good battery

Price of one dc24 Maxx $99 same as big dc29. Time I spent figuring out how to secure it might make more sense to drop two batteries. Have these in my boat love them.

Your mounting plate looks fantastic. I really like how it blends into the A-frame - it looks like it could be a factory component.

One word of caution. Each 29 weighs just over 60 lbs. Two of those might take your tongue weight over your hitch's rating. Or it might cause the percentage of tongue weight to GVWR to exceed 15%. It might be worth checking both just to be safe.

I'm not familiar with this model of trailer - do the batteries just sit in the open?

I ask because we have a third battery mounted behind the propane tanks, but there are all kinds of issues with the setup, and I'd like to find a battery box for it that drops into the storage compartment that's there (current box is too big to do that). But if I can just drop it in and strap it down... hmmmmmmm!

Trailer came with two dc24 spots

I ran dc27 battery box across both wood pieces. Four stainless bolts and used construction adhesive under battery box. Fits dc29 battery nice and tight. Used trailer with great success. Do love these big batteries
