We just purchased the above and noticed that the plug in the back says 220. Question is, can we plug it into our regular 110 outlet in the garage?
The inside is in decent shape except the previous owner replaced the living room couch into a futon. It is fairly big enough that we cannot pull out the table if the futon is there. We bought this through Craigslist and we did not do a thorough check on everything so I think we got taken and paid overpriced on this one. It is after buying it that we found out about this forum which could have helped us a lot when negotiating for the price. We paid 16K which is the top value for a renovated unit. We're just hoping that everything works.
Our main concern is how do we plug a 220 to our US outlets. Is this 220 because it is the International series?
Any help or advice is much appreciated.
Hi there - we are newbies too - '76 27' Overlander. It's been a fun process but humbling as we discover how much we don't know. Everyone in the forum is extremely helpful. When we got our girl she was running minimally on HH current through an adapter. They sell these which will convert the 30amp plug to a 110 HH plug. Should be an easy find - but keep in mind not everything will run. In sure others with lots more knowledge will respond with loads of info. Have fun!
Your unit is powered with 120 volts AC. A 30 amp source is recommended.
The "international" label has nothing to do with it.
There are receptacles specifically designed and labelled for RV use. Most big box stores carry them.
You may damage the systems in the coach if you plug into a 220 volt source.
THank you all for the information shared on this forum. We finally got it fixed with all your help.
On to my next question. Does anybody here have a spare Tamboor door that they want to sell? We need one that goes under the kitchen sink and it is the dark walnut brown. The door was missing when we purchased this.
