1964 wiring. Installing new converter and fuse panel.

Hi. Working on my friend and mines 1964 Airstream Overland or trailers. Both have the original wiring in place with the univolts and shore power/battery switches. I removed the old Uni volt and the old switch box. Now
I am setting up to install the new Intellipower converter and 12 V fuse panel. I am pretty sure I have all the wires traced as far as 12 V connections go but I am a little confused at these wires coming out of the wall. Has anyone worked with these wires or could identify which ones are which on the 1964 units?
Which wire is what? Are they coming in from the breaker box or out to outlets or AC?

The two wire bottom three appear to be the original 120 volt wires to things like outlets and AC unit, although it is hard to be sure. The one closest to the camera on the bottom might be heavier wire, and might be the power panel input from the 120 volt cord. You need an ohmmeter to test things.

The blue, orange and white wires are all 12 volt something. White is typically the negative 12 volts, and blue is often used for the charge line from the tow vehicle on those years Airstreams. Orange may go to the battery. Again, testing is in order. I doubt that anyone here can positively identify the wires Airstream used 50 years ago. You will need to test and verify both ends yourself.

I also note no ground wires on the 120 volt lines (or what I am assuming are 120 volt wires).

Yes I will be doing some testing. The stranded ones on top that are blue orange and white I am thinking go to the trailer connection pigtail?
Nothing goes to the battery now.
Then there are two sets of 120 wires. The ones in the front and the ones in the background.
They were all disconnected by me from the old univolt and switch box. Above this picture is the breaker box with wires in and out.
Just wanted to see if anyone had a 64 with these wires ID'd.

You already have it, but I thought I would post it is a slim chance it would help you. These are the wiring diagrams from my 1966 owner's manual. One is the trailer, one is the converter, and one is the tow vehicle.

My 66 Trade Wind has 3 12v DC circuits running lights, fans, furnace, fridge, water pump, etc. They radiate from the fuse panel.

And it has 2 115v circuits running outlets. There was a "spare" wire by the breaker box that was for a future AC. The AC is a dedicated circuit and a dedicated 20 amp breaker.

The tow vehicle circuits are separate again.

My trailer has white for 12v grounds.

Running lights get their power from the TV. Not the house battery. Only interior, scare and overhead door lights are powered by the onboard 12 volt system. Along with the water pump, furnace etc.

My 65 caravel had 3 2-conductor cables connected to the univolt that went into the wall and 6 2-conductor cables that came out of the wall and into the nest of wires in and around the distribution /fuse box. after searching the installation posts, I hooked up the (9100 intellipower) converter plug to a newly installed shorepower outlet and the 2 neutral wires and the 2 hot wires of the other 2 cables to the neutral and the hot wires of the converter. I put in the battery and hooked up to shore power and everything worked.... except the battery didn't charge! After trying and testing alot, I connected the battery directly to the plus and minus lugs of the converter and I now have charging..I think. I have 13.5 v going to the battery and the charge wizard is blinking properly. everything still works and nothing is on fire..
the converter and the battery are grounded properly. have I forgotten anything? joe in MN

Orange is positive from battery to City/Battery switch box.
Blue is 12v charge from tow vehicle.
Single white is 12 volt ground that goes to tow vehicle, battery and to the City/Battery box.
I think that there are only three sets of wires that come out of the wall for DC power that go in the wall from the switch box. One for water and fans I think, another for lights. The third goes from your inverter to the switch box to charge batteries while plugged into City power? None of what I see there is your 30 amp shore wiring but the one in back with fabric braiding I am almost certain is AC.
