Thank Alan,
Yes, it is identical to the wiring photo Dan posted. I checked fuses (yes there are 2-30A), and both tested fine and I even replaced but no change. Did remove Univolt and found a couple wire ends are pretty corroded so going to remove metal clip, clean up and wire nut back together. Hoping that'll correct but not too confident at this point as tried pretty much everything. lol

IMHO you should just bite the bullet and install a new converter.
Look on ebay for a Progressive Dynamics 9245.
It will be plenty for your coach.
Adventure RV usually has the best price.
Look for their badge on the photo of the converter.
A new DC distribution/fuse block could easily be installed in the existing panel. Once you remove the old breakers and fuse hokders.

I believe you are correct. The wires weren't all that corroded. I hooked up to 110v and to battery and it's only putting out 9.7 volts on the battery side, and nothing on the load side. Appears shot to me?

I completely agree with TG Twinkie. I installed a PD #9245 converter in my Tradewind about 6 years ago and just recently installed a Blue Sea #5025 12v panel box, $32 from Amazon, recently (see post 12). Both were incredibly simple installations . However, looking at the last photo, I see that my box is way too close to the bottom of the bracket and is in danger of grounding out. Time for a new bracket.

Dan

Clean all those contacts with contact cleaner and a small brush

Hi, I'm an electrician and just looking at the picture of your wiring all of your terminals have oxidation on them and most won't conduct electricity even though the fuses are good. Amazon has electrical contact cleaner. All wire connections need to be unscrewed, unplugged, one at a time and cleaned. That should get everything working again.

Well, new 9245 just arrived and installed new box and outlet to power. Starting to hook up and it's obvious that hot/ red wire goes to the hot lead on converter. And by instructions it seems obvious that white/negative lead goes to the negative terminal and I need to run a new ground wire from base of converter to frame. But...Where does blue wire go as unless I'm blind, and can't follow instructions, there are no terminals to attach blue wire to. Do I just attach blue and red to positive? Thanks again for all your help! Greg

The blue and red wires are both positive.
IMHO they should be connected.
Did you not purchase a new DC fuse/distribution panel?
Where does the blue wire go? I see 2 exiting the old panel on the right.
Can we assume one is the charge line from the TV?

No, just purchased the converter as the fuse box replacement suggestion came in after I already ordered converter and switching. Anxious to get it working so hoping won't have to replace panel as well

I take it that you use the 3 wires (blue, white, red) ??? Connected to the 3 fuses at the top of the panel.
And are wondering where to connect the blue wire.

Yes was confused on blue wire. Connected blue and red together and all 12v lights working now off battery power alone. But, did order new fuse panel to replace current fuses.

The Univolt is scrap. It was a decent product 50 years ago but time and tech have moved on.
