Was Airstream "enabling" solar in 2000?

I just put a deposit on a 2000 19' Bambi. Anyone know if the it was prewired for solar?

Pretty sure they didn't start doing that until around 2015-2016. Maybe mid year 2016.

First: Congratulations and best wishes!
If it was pre-wired, they didn't really do you any favors. All solar pre-wire is something like 10 gauge, which is too skinny to do you much good.

My 2014 has the prewire. We have 200 watts of solar and we used it. System charges great.

Sometimes the International and Classic lines get things before the Flying Cloud or Sport/Bambi.

Our 2002 19' Bambi came with solar prewire. The wires are 10 gauge and are adequate for the size/number of panels you can fit on the roof. Here is a rational discussion about that: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f448...-a-163067.html.

I removed the front dinette in a 2008 Bambi, and saw the solar pre-wires there.
