Solar system questions

Considering buying an 87 Excella and it has a solar charging system, but the owners passed away and there's no one to explain how it works. There are 4 solar panels on the roof and a magnun energy control box with 2 meters. Under the cabinet behind the control box are 2 other boxes, one with 3 on off toggle switches and another box behind it with 2 positive and 2 negative wires connected to it. There are 2 AGM betteries. Can anyone explain how this works?

Well, the black controls are for a Magnum Energy inverter-charger. They're still in business and you can find instructions on their web site for those or at least for similar successor products. Magnum Energy make an excellent product.

No telling what the switches do without taking off the cover and observing the wiring and poking around with a tester.

The voltage and amperage meters may be wired any of a number of ways so it's hard to say exactly what they measure. Probably battery voltage for the voltmeter. Ammeter might be wired to show solar panel charge rate or it might show something else, or be controlled by the switches.
