Solar Panel fasteners and much more

I'm currently at the beginnings of a shell off (full monty) and couldn't do it without this Forum. So thank you to all who contribute their knowledge.

I've seen numerous questions about how to fasten solar panels to the roof and working in the yachting industry, I came across and have used these fasteners in the past year. They were originally developed and are still used on aircrafts(which makes them perfect for an Airstream), they are also used on military ships. They were developed to eliminate riveting and the 2 part epoxy adhesive is as strong, if not stronger than a weld.

For ex. a CS125 fastener with a threaded stud and a base of 1.25" dia has a 2,000 lb shear and a 1,000lb Tension. If "something" was pulling on your solar panel that hard, I think the shell would detach before the panels did .

To fasten, just lightly sand or grind the area to be attached, clean with acetone (wipe, don't rotate in circles...you have to get rid of ALL metal shaving, dirt, etc..) apply the epoxy to the fastener and "click" down mount.

They also can be removed with a heat gun if the really needed to.
There are also "cable tie mounts" which I hope to use in my rewiring.

These parts are not cheap but it beats drilling holes in your shell or slopping on adhesive goop.
I want to state I am in NO WAY affiliated or work for Clickbond. This is a great product and seems to be a no brainer for certain Airstream applications.

If some of you choose to use these fasteners, please post pics
