Recommendations for solar install in Northeast US

Being based in NJ, can you recommend any specific solar installers in the NE?

Plenty of DIY advice already, but Walt [OP] is looking for a shop to do the work, as are we. No further DIY advice is needed. [See Posts #11 and #14]

How complex a solution are you considering? For something similar to the stock system, a dealer can / will do the heavy lifting on parts you already have ordered in. For something fancy, that's probably not as good an idea.

Other then the dealer I found no installers in NJ other then Colonial airstream for Zamp. I was also in the no DIY camp but found no alternative.
Try calling AM Solar, perhaps they know someone in NY or NJ. They did not a year ago but things change.

I think the whole "solar conversion" thing has not caught on quite as well in the northeast as it has in the south and far west. I can guess at a couple of reasons for that ... looking out at the rain ....
