If you have purchased a battery worth 1000 bucks, you want a good charge controller to maintain maximum life. This means a charge controller with programmable parameters. Even the defualt lithium settings Victron provide are in no way ideal. A controller for lithium batteries needs to have the ability to adjust the float and absorbtion stages of charging so you can effectivley turn them off. A programmable charger does not need to be specific for lithium batteries.
For example, my settings are as follows: Absorbtion: 14.2 volts, absorbtion time 1minute (off), float 13.15 volts (lower than full charge state). Due to the fact battle born use an absorbtion type charge for cell ballancing, I will adjust the settings every once in a while to allow for this.
