mount generator on a frame?

This is my idea, please fault it or otherwise.

I have chosen (right or wrong, its too late now) a Yamaha 2400is).

My suggestion is to fix a 2" tow receiver, 90 degrees to the A frame,l about 4-5 " behind the propane tank box. From that tow hitch receiver I intend to fit a small cargo carrier, sufficient for the generator size and then padlock it on.

Will the off center position (estimated weight of 100lbs) be a problem?

Can you forsee any other issues?

1983 Airstream Excella Tri axle 34 feet. Tow vehicle; Hummer H2

Advice sought,

Thanks

Your proposal is the best way in the world, for your Hummer to tow an "A-Frame."

Why just an "A-Frame?"

Because it will break off the main frame, and the trailer will go sailing down the road, all by itself.
