Looking for advice on L5-30

Bought a Yamaha 3000 iesb gen and now need a L5-30 twist lock male plug to attach my RV power cord to the gen.
There are 2 different types I see online. One is just a simple locking plug that the RV cord attaches to and that plugs into the gen.
The other is an adaptor with a plug on one end thats locking the other end attaches to the RV cord. This second one has about 9 inches 30 amp cord connecting the two ends. Sort of like a dog bone.
Which one is the best style to buy? Are there problems with either?

Thanks, ordered the pigtail one last night. I was kinda leaning that way although it was a couple of bucks more.
