Honda Propane Portable Generator
Anyone have any reviews of this generator? Is it good for boondocking? Price is reasonable.

That thing may work, but it's basically a contractor grade generator: noisy noisy noisy! Please, for the sake of your neighbors, and to not become the campground pariah, consider a true inverter generator.

this generator is a heavyweight one !!! over 100 pounds !! hard to move it !!
may be two generator 2000i set will be more easy to move and cheaper !!
I will convert one to propane and test it
for me this is the best way to do it !!!
and realy less noice!!!!

The Honda 2000i companion isn't approved for use in Canada currently. Thus the regular Canadian model doesn't have the connector to allow running in parallel. You'll have to buy them in the US if you go this route.

If that is anything like the generac whole house generator we are running at the moment, it will devour propane and is very noisy.

Well, it's heavy, noisey, huge, only runs on nat. gas or propane, and I don't think it's inverter power. It is cheap, tho.
If you want a 3000 watt gennie, buy the Yamaha tri power. It weighs only 69 lbs., is much quieter, 1/3 the size, runs on gasolene, propane, and nat gas, and IS inverter power.
Down side to the Yamaha is it costs twice as much. But, Hey, you obviously didn't worry about that kind of thing when you bought an Airstream. Buy the best thing, never look back.

terryV,
What Yamaha inverter generator produces 3000watts and weights only 69 pounds? Do you have a model number?

That is a piece of junk #1 the engine is a cheapest ,lightest duty ,honda engine ,the generator part is not a inverter type so it will damage sensitive electronics ,overheat motors ,etc etc . Also look how much fuel it burns ,and like others have said I'm sure it's VERY VERY LOUD!
