Honda Gen... but which Propane Kit!
I'm planning a purchase of the Honda eu2000i generator and want to do a propane conversion....
Any opinions on Genconnex vs. Hutch Mountain kit?
The hutch mountain kit is cheaper and allows you to still run on gas, but it's got some extra pieces.
Thoughts?

I like the genconnex, as it doesn't increase footprint and space is a premium. Haven't bought it yet, but might. Also check out motorsnorkel, I have one of theirs for my house generator and it works well.

What about a recommendation for a tri fuel conversion for a EU3000is?

USCarb
I strongly recommend the US Carburetor brand for a Honda generator conversion to a tri-fuel. I installed it in less than an hour and it works fantastic

We got our Honda Propane from GenConneX and works great plus they give a great warranty and give you some hoses to go with it.
The warranty from them is worth the money, by the time you price out going thru someone else with a limited warranty, GenConnex is the deal.

Ditto, for tri-fuel conversion.

Easy stable mounting on the end vice the side using their mounting bracket.

Again, make sure you check out the mods and are okay with having a large regulator attached to your generator. If so, the trifuels. If you want to maintain the original footprint go with the genconnex, it's awesome.

Are there any issues using the Honda EU 2000 twinning generators with a propane conversion?

My impression from reading and contributing to lots of posts in Airforums about Honda generators running on propane is that the options are all pretty good.
I bought an EU2000 and a matching companion two years ago. I used the Propane Carbs kit ( https://www.propanecarbs.com/honda-e...onversion.html) and have been pleased. I chose that because of the reviews plus it is tri fuel (gasoline, LP or natural gas), includes a high pressure regulator (many kits do not... having one lets me run the generator directly off a dedicated LP cylinder. other kits must run off the low pressure port of the trailer or you can add the cost of an aftermarket high pressure regulator to their price) and it requires a minimum of alterations to the generator (the original carbs are unmodified by the conversion and the case does not need to be drilled to mount the demand regulator).
There are pics in my gallery if you are interested. I've also run and posted in AirForums info on LP consumption of these kits and the hardware I use to run both off the low pressure LP port (full disclosure: running both exceeds the Airstream recommended load on that port).
They also have kits for other generators including the Honda EU3000.

Anyone else got experience with the LPG Yamaha that Motor Snorkel sells? Or with purchases from them?

If your not allready using 30 gallon tanks you could try one. Bigger tanks work better at colder temperatures.

What's your TV? I tow with an SUV and have no way to carry a gas can. So it was an easy decision to go propane only. That GenConnex has great support on this forum made for an easy decision. As always, YMMV, Dave

I have a pickup, but I am a big fan of simplicity (genconnex). Unfortunately, I'm also a fan of utility (dual/tri fuel...). Hence my dilemma.
