Honda gen 2500H-Wont Idle Under Load

The output of my generator wasn't sufficient at the factory idle setting to supply enough voltage to my battery chargers to create anymore than 13.5 volts to my batteries. When adjusted the idle i was able to increase the output voltage and thereby increase the charge voltage to my batteries to 14.2
Now when i put a load on the generator, vacum cleaner, the generator idle fluctuates up and down until the load is removed.
I need to maintain the higher idle speed but did I adjust that in the right place?
Can anyone tell me how to make this adjustment please?

What is the exact model of your generator and how old is it?

IF your genset is not out of warranty and even if it is. Id suggest you take it to the nearest service center for that brand and have it adjusted by a HONDA TECH. They may not even charge ya nothing. IF they will not do anything Call CUSTOMER SERVICE.
