OK i own a Honda EM7000is originally bought during the Wilma. I originally thought I would have to go more portable for our new AS31 with 2ACs. It weighs 198lbs. I found this website
All I know is that in the 80's I had a 4000 watt Honda that ran on propane and I loved it. Used it with my 67 Caravel at the dog shows with no problem except noise. I'm can't remember is the Honda dealer converted it or not, but it ran well and didn't carbon up like it would have on gas.
You can buy the conversion kit from US Carb and do the conversion yourself (not a big deal, really) or you can pull your carb from the unit, buy the kit from USC over the phone, and send it to them. They will convert your carb at NO CHARGE when you buy the conversion kit and will send it back along with the necessary regulator, hoses and fittings.

And if you have never done this before, it would be a good idea to get it done where you could watch and ask questions. Then, next time you want to do a project like this, you will have the knowledge to take it on. Also, if you watch someone do it, you will have more of a chance to maintain/diagnose if needed.
Just be aware if you have someone locally do the conversion, you may have to pay them to do it, vs free if you send it in.
