Honda 2000

On the average how long does it take to charge the batteries on an AS using a Honda 2000? Assuming the batteries have been used a few days boondocking
Are we looking at 2 hrs every other day? Just to keep them topped off

1-2.5 hours depending in the state of charge of the batteries. We usually just recharge every morning for a hour or so as we run the coffee maker on the generator anyways. The Hondas are super quiet.

If you just plug the shore power cord into the Honda, it will take the same amount of time it would take on shore power. It will, as MoFlash says, depend on the state of charge of your batteries and, in addition, which converter you have. Some converters are more efficient at charging than others.

If you try to use the 12V output of the Honda, it will take longer.

Do you always use the Econo mode?
Seems a lot more quieter

It also depends on whether you have the OEM single-stage charger. I upgraded to a 4-stage and I know when its done because the generator goes to idle - which is as others have said, depends on the state of discharge but typically around 1-2 hours max.

I'd recommend upgrading the charger if you are interested in this. its easy and cheap. lots of information on the forums.
