George, we ran the wires down under the 2nd panel on the top right (see pic of roof) through a low profile combiner box, put a hole into the roof and fed panel wire down between wall between bathroom and closet.

Does the panel over the bathroom vent always stick out higher than the others? I noticed that in a few of the photographs that show the panel installed.

Yes my panel sticks up about an inch or so towards the back side to allow me to still use my bathroom exhaust vent. I can adjust it flat as you can see in the photo with the adjustable feet, but I preferred to be able to use the fan. There is also a newly installed low profile vent we installed for the other stuff under this panel.

Time is money, if you can't do it yourself, it's money well spent. Marv is a solid installer. I happen to have had time, tools and general interest. In which case, the time is an investment in my interest.

Lithiums are going to be a game changer for you. They have been for us. I recall before I used to look at the system monitors all the time. Wake up at night and check them. I did this for a few months after the lithium install. These days, I rarely look, because the power is just always there. There has never been a stress moment about power. Matter of fact, I haven't broken out the generator since Christmas.

And you've got even more power. You're going to love it when you get out there and use it.

Fat fingers. Trying to do to many things at once. I appreciate your comments and look forward to getting out sometime soon. Finishing chemo in 6 weeks. I put in a security camera that monitors a number of items and I have it pointed at my remotes. Good to hear you've not had issues with the lithium. I agree they are a game changer.

Hi Allan,

New Airstreamer here. Never owned a Trailer or RV before and purchased a 2018 27' Flying Cloud FB. First trip out, we took it 4,400+ miles while our hometown of Houston was getting battered by Harvey. We are in the Environmental business and are looking to take our new toy toward Solar and perhaps a supplemental wind option. Found your posting on this site through a Google search and loved it. We will be calling Precision to see what they can do for us as well. Like you, our time is valuable to figure it all out and make it work right. Peace of mind is another consideration. That being said, I was just looking at your App for the cameras you installed and wondered what type of system you were using and where to get it. Also, what did you spend (ballpark) on the total 600w solar set-up? It looks super professionally done. Did you lose most of the under-bed storage when installing the system? Any experience with small wind turbines?

I’m using the canary camera and iPhone app. You can get them online or at Verizon. I use my mifi to connect it to the internet then can bring up camera on the phone when I want to check out my solar and batteries.

As far as costs to do a 600w solar install it varies based on components and especially if you go with lithium batteries (they are expensive but IMHO worth it). You should budget between $11K to $15K depending on the components. Others have done it for less but this was my experience.
