Generator--HVAC Question

has anyone tried running (2) HVAC units using (2) Honda 3000EU generators? I believe one of the units is a 15,000 and one is a 13,500. thanks in advance for feedback. I live in AL, so there is often a need for both units.

It should work OK. Are you going to run the generators in parallel or have them each power one of the legs?

Each HVAC would need to be on a separate circuit, connected to a separate generator. Synchronizing two generators for use on the same circuits without phase and polarity problems is an exercise for an electrical engineer.

Parallel. Haven't purchased yet. Might just go with eu 6500, so there won't be any issues running both units.

@ 260lbs you'll need to hire CraneWorks everytime you want to transport the genset!

The Camping World down at Calera had the 6500 in store a couple months back at a fairly discounted price since, as I was told, they were no longer going to stock them in-store. Seems like it was well under $3500.

What generator do u use? U have 2 HVACs? I had a rack built that is connected to the mainframe under the trailer with steel. Planning on placing generator on the rack.

Are you the Chris that has camped with Thomas waters? If so, he is my neighbor. 6500s were priced at about 4000 at camping world about a week ago. It's very heavy.

Yes, I have dual A/C's and just recently added a pair of EU2000s. Obviously this will only get me enough juice to run the main 15K unit. However, we don't do a lot of off grid camping.

Yep - that's me. Good guy.

I wanted one one of the 6500's very badly. Great for a back-up home power application too. However, weight and transporting flexibility just didn't make it a feasible option for me.
