It would be a little tight on the power. To be sure you will need to know the amps used by the air conditioner. Also realize that an AC takes considerabely more to get the compressor started and I think that 2,000 may not quite do it. Look at the specs for the AC unit to find the amps then multiply amps X Volts (110) to get the wattage needed for the air conditioner.

I have a 2004 19' CCD Bambi with an 11,000 air conditioner unit. I'm wanting to buy a Honda generator. Would the 2000 unit power the air conditioner?
We have a 22' 2004 with 11,000 BTU AC, and had to buy a Honda 3000 EU.....super quiet and economical (not to purchase) to operate. Paid about $1600 for demo floor model with 5 hrs on it. But it comes in handy when you need it. Just make sure you have some help to load it in your PU (Weighs about 130 lbs empty)!
I can tell you first hand that one eu2000 will not start the 11k AC. compressor. I tried this experiment about two weeks ago very briefly, and indeed, the AC does require a substantial amount of juice for start up. The AC and the generator just sort of choke.
You would need 2-2000's hooked up in parallel or one 3000. Do a search on parallel or honda and you willl come up with loads of info.
The 2000 is a great unit, and easy to schlepp around.
