Mine is red and a copy of a copy [maybe a Honeywell] and it works fine and cost less than half the cost of a Honda. I pull the rope and it makes juice. Sal.

Need help asap. I have a 2001 25 ft. Excella. I'm fulltiming. I'm south of Seattle. Going on 3rd day with no power. Last night the batteries stopped powering the propane heater. I need to know what kind of power and options I need for a generator. I would like to get a Honda. Thanks for your expertise.

Get a 2000 if you don't think you will need AC on the summer. Should be plenty to run your rig while the power is out.

A regular Honda 2000i has two regular household outlets...if you get one of those you will need a 15-amp to 30-amp adapter (see pic #1 below).

If you get a Honda 2000i Companion, it has one regular household outlet and one 30-amp twist-n-turn outlet...in that case you will need an adapter to convert the 30-amp female twist-n-turn on the generator to a regular 30-amp female so you can plug your shore power cord into it... (see Pic #2 below)...

Hi, I bought one of these 30 Amp RV adapters for my Yamaha. I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

Great...let us know if you have any more questions about the care and feeding of your generator! Good Luck!

In a pinch, without the time for a lot of shopping around, I would stick with red or blue,(Hon/Yam), at least 2000w.
Soundz like you have done the research here, great start!!!
I have had excellent results with both brands.
