Gen. GFCI tripping

Last weekend I went to plug main power cord from my 63 GT to the Honda gen. & the GFCI tripped. Do I have something wrong in the trailer?

yip a ground all AC current that goes out on the black wire must return on the white wire (AC is back an forth), if 10 to 15 ma is seen on the ground wire the gfi will trip. preventing an electricution.
