External Generator Connection

On the longer trailers, when you order two air conditioners and go to 50 amps, Airstream eliminates the 30 amp front external generator connection. I wish there was an option to provide a 30 or 50 amp connection in the front of the trailer, so you could run one AC unit from a generator in the truck bed rather than having to run a long power cord to the shore power connection on the side of the trailer. I assume a transfer switch setup would be required. Has anyone done this?
