EU2000i Honda Question
You guys that use 2 of the EU2000i's to run your (1) 13,500 Coleman air conditioner in the summer months. Approximately how long do both gens. run while electrically hooked together before running out of gas while the air conditioner is running and no other electrical devices?
Reason I'm asking is to see if a larger central feed tank is needed or if I could get by just filling the tank on the generator up every so often.
Need your comments to help me decide.

When Ike blew through last year I was up at TAHI and the entire park lost power....the two 2000i's running together stayed on line from about 9:30PM to 5:00AM (7.5 hours) - but I do not think that the compressor was on all of the time - bottom line - I will be in the market for some sort of a larger tank before I do any serious boondocking. I currently have two tanks for my 2000 40 hp Mercury outboard (automix in the injector system, so only straight gasoline in the poly tanks). One tank is the standard 6 gallon tank, the other is quite a bit larger - 10 or 12 gallons. I hope to find a set up to be able to utilize either of the tanks at any given time....
Please post your solution (with pics) and where you found the equipment.
Thanks

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle
We have 2 2000i's and do exactly what you are talking about regularly.
The answer is, it depends on how hot it is during the night, and how many times the A/C cycles on during the night. When we use the generators overnight, we also leave the refer on ac power.
Generally speaking, we can get 7-8 hours on the one gallon tanks on the 2000i's. I usually top them off right before we go to bed, and we make it through the night.
We also sometimes use our six gallon auxiliary tank when needed. It works great and can feed both Hondas or just one.

Its definately overkill but we have a 50 gallon Transflow refueler (regular gas) in the back of our HD2500 Silverado which has a cap. The Pickup has a long side window on the drivers side with a lock, So you can put the gas in the pickup anywhere or fill the generators easy. The refuler comes with an 8 foot hose, pump and a gas handle like at a gas station only somewhat smaller. Takes up 10 inches along the back of the truck. It is worth it to us to get the extra range while towing plus fill the generators or whateever as needed.

Thanks everyone. Good to hear that at least 4 hours min. out of the tank on the units running the air an if not so warm a few more hours. I will look into an aux. fill tank to feed the 2 gens. I looked at the Wise set up and that seems like a good way to go. I'll have to get the measurements of the aux. tanks they carry to see which one will fit on the tongue of the trailer tucked behind the propane tanks. I really don't want to store the extra fuel in my TV as my bed is enclosed. Do any of you carry your Wise aux fuel tank there and if so what size(gals) tank fits? Does the 6gal.?
Is anyone using the little night light plug in alarm that sounds off if the electricity goes off? Seems to me like an nice touch against thieves in addition to chaining them up.
