Charging Trailer Battiries

I have an Airstream trailer with two batteries. I have a Honda generator and would like to know the best way to charge the camper batteries. My three ways areB]
1. Hook 110 volt camper electric line to Honda generator
2. Using Honda 12 volt side, charge the camper batteries directly
3. Using the Honda 12 volt side, hook a battery charger to the Honda generator and use the battery charger to directly charge the camper batteries
Also:

• If I use options 2. or 3. , do I have to disconnect the camper batteries from the camper electrical system while the camper batteries are being directly charged?
• How long (Approximately) will each option take to recharge the camper batteries

Hey Parks ! I think there is another recent thread going on this same subject, do a search and you will find all the correct info you need.

But to your question, using an adapter, I plug my trailer cord directly into my 2K Honda and within an hour, my computer and phone are fully charged and my coach batteries ( 2 ) are 3/4 to 7/8 .

Plenty of power till tomorrow or the next day and beyond depending on how well you were trained around the light switches when you were young ! YMWV.

Greetings Parks- Yes, option 1 is the way to go but search this one out. There are a lot of great threads already on the forum for gen & charging.

The best way would depend on the converter/charger you have. If you have a 3 stage charger built into your converter this would be the best and the easiest and the fastest. It would also be the best for the batteries.
