My Champion 3100/3400W dual fuel generator (model 100263) came in late last week. I just added oil and hooked up the battery. It fired right up on propane. It is louder than my 2000W Powerhorse, but I think it is still a very reasonable sound level. I have been very satisfied with it so far. I have plugged it up to the trailer. We ran the fridge, converter, a fan, and the TV. None of those even made the engine change tone. I am suppose to break it in at 1/2 or less load for 5 hours before throwing a lot at it. Once I have time to get the five hours in and change the oil I will try the AC and see what happens. It does fit perfect under my bed cover though. I had to have something less than 19 inches tall and this works perfect. My plan is to only use propane so I do not have to worry about gumming up the carb.
I also have read the Honda is being made in Taiwan, although I have not officially confirmed that.
Honda EU2000i generators were manufactured at Honda's plant in Japan, until about 3 years ago, then production moved to Honda's plant in Thailand. Because they are both Honda-owned, the quality standards are the same, and except for a J or T code in the serial number, you'd be hard-pressed to see (or experience) any difference.

Caveat: I work for Honda, but the preceding is my opinion alone.
I noticed they have 3400 and 3500 watt generators available and claim 59dba noise. The 3500 generator should run my 15K btu AC. It's looking awful tempting.
