Breeze Extended Run Tank (dual feed)

I am thinking about spending the ~ $170 for a Bergs extended run dual feed fuel tank for my Honda EU2000 set.

Of course I have seen many posts on extended run tanks, etc. But I am looking for specific experience and feedback with this Berg dual setup. (function, quality, durability, value, . . . )

Thanks in advance,
Alan

My only concern is that the fuel caps are metal. Some extended run kits use CNC machined aluminum caps, others use plastic caps.

After a while, the metal ones can strip, while the plastic ones don't have that issue.

I have one. It works great.

The caps on the one shown are machined aluminum. They will be no trouble, ever.

I switched the quick-couplers around so the hoses stay with the caps. That way, the tank has no hoses to contend with. I bought generator covers off of Ebay with pockets to hold the hoses and caps.

Regards,

JD

I assume you can run one generator without the companion hooked up if you want??

Have you had any issues with priming the fuel lines? (i. e. Needing a primer bulb)
Thanks
Alan

Yes, the quick-couplers have spring loaded valves and close when no hose is connected.

I do have the twin Honda 2000s. They have fuel pumps, so no need to worry with priming.

Just start with the on-board tanks full. The gensets will pull fuel from the big tank until it is empty.

Thanks for the feedback JD and ctdair.

I bought the tank and dual set-up from Wise. It came very quickly, well packaged, and I like what I see with the components. All are pieces and parts are of good quality and the dry disconnects on the hoses will come in mighty handy. The fuel hose is Parker and is first class and flexible. The anodized aluminum caps are very nice and well gasketed.

I am betting that this set-up will perform to my expectations with no problems.
