Blowing 30amp Fuses

Has anyone experienced a problem with the optional generator transfer switch blowing the 30amp fuses in the invertor? Everytime I connect my generator to the plug that is governed by the transfer switch it blows a 30amp fuse, this is even after making sure the generator is delivering the proper voltage. When I connect to the regular shorepower plug I have no problems.

Thanks,

Scott

Smile Hi Scott

Check your polarity on the generator plug. Make sure the negative and the ground wire are not reversed with hot wire. The black schoud be 120 volts the white return and green the ground wire. By the way where is the breaker that blows ? Is it on the generator or the trailer?
Most problems are wireing reversed.

Hi Russell:

It is the inverter in the trailer, so if it was a polarity issue wouldn't it also be a problem when I use the regular power recepticle? It only happens with the recepticle associated with the transfer switch.

Thanks,

Scott
