B VAN 190. 1998. Generator

How do I change the oil, oil filter and the spark plug? How do I slide the generator out so I can change the spark plug?

Unless there is a hole underneath for access to the oil drain (some have this), you have to unbolt it and remove it from the enclosure. Careful, it weighs 113 pounds...

No problem. I would change the spark plug in mine, but for a full oil drain and refill it was next to impossible. I tried using a turkey baster to get the oil out, and it didn't work. Something like this might work, though.

If you do remove the generator, though, get a hole saw and put a hole in where the oil drain is so that you can do it easily next time. I should have had the shop do that when they installed my replacement generator, but I just didn't think of it.
