Available space for genset on Limited(s) 1982 thru 1994??

...........I'm sure I'll want to add a genset to the trailer that I purchase , so Will most of the 34 foot Limited and Excella models from 1982 thru 1994 come from the factory with a space for that purpose ?? thanks , r66

I can't tell you what those size units have for space, but what my friend saw this summer was a great idea. The person had replaced the two 30 lb propane tanks with one 40. On the side the tank was removed they had built a nice aluminum, vented, lockable box designed to fit the generator. Nice, clean, out of the way, and no intrusion into the trailer itself.

...................Thanks Barry ! That seems like a viable and creative idea . It maybe the case that only the trailers ordered with a genset will have a designated space for a genset . From what I've seen not many used AS's for sale are advertised with an onboard genset . thanks , r66

Trailer Genset

A freind of mine has a gen set in a 86 32ft excella. The generator is installed under the street side rear twin bed.
There is a access door there. He custom made a fuel tank
that fits down between the frame rails just aft of the tonge
jack. He used a 3kw Onan unit with the muffler coming out
just below the unit.

Works great,
