Anyone own the Champion 3500 watt inverter generator?
Does anyone own this specific model that can comment on it?

Guess not! I am curious as well. Specifically, how many db's it puts out. Subscribed.

The ad says 59db from 23ft. I'm curious for more subjective impressions.

I own one. I bought it in May and used in on several trips in our 2016 FC27. I used it mainly to charge batteries and occasionally to run the AC for a short time. No problems at all! Marginal for one person to lift in and out of a pickup bed but doable. I don't know about durability but it works so far.

Thanks for your feedback. You would think that given the price and positive feedback more folks would have one of these. Oh well, sometimes you have to be a trail blazer...

I purchased the dual fuel model of the 3500 watt Champion. I've only used it once so far. It's quiet, starts easily and runs my 2017 Classic perfectly. Have not tried an A/C unit on it yet. I'm a fan...more power, less cost, quiet and has propane ability built in. Only slight drawback is the weight.

Well, I pulled the trigger today and ordered the Champion 3500 dual fuel inverter with electric start from Camping World. Hopefully it gets here quick. My RV park will be without power for a couple of weeks, and this will at least let me run one AC. I intend to use propane.

Question - is the 30A connector on this generator special or different from a regular 30A connector? I have a 30-50amp adapter I use for 30A campsites, and am wondering if that is all I need to connect to this generator.

It's the same as any RV park 30 amp, I bought one off a demo/refurb site out of NY it was new and works great on gas or propane.

Great! I picked one up at Camping World today, and am headed over to the RV park tomorrow with three propane tanks to see how this all works out.

I'm really curious to hear your thoughts on the sound level. I'm leaning toward the Honda 2000 series and pairing two of them, but this would provide me a propane option and more power. This model is rated at ~59db, which is a touch more than the Honda, but still very reasonable. I lifted one at a Camping World this weekend, and yes, it's a bit of a workout and takes up more space compared to the 44# Hondas.

I own a Champion 3500. At 59 db it is only slightly louder than the Honda but not annoyingly so. Add two Hondas together and you will be louder than one Champion. Not sure how it takes up more room than two Hondas but I'll take your word for it, but you're still dealing with two pieces of equipment instead of one. Plus you will have spent more money to buy two. Then you have to buy the propane kit. The Champion is available as a dual fuel model for around $1,000 all in, if you catch it on sale. Three more advantages for me: wheels, integrated tow handle and it fits under my ReTrax pickup bed cover.
It's been extremely reliable. The electric start has fired it up first time every time. In low power mode it is less than 59 db in my opinion. It automatically turns up the power based on demand.

Running it behind my trailer 20 or so feet didn't have any issue sitting outside listening to the radio. The trailer down the road had a box in the back of his truck with a Honda running that was louder but then I don't know which version he had. Almost all the noise is mechanical it seems like a well built sound box could be built to absorb most of it that could unfold like a box .

Hhmmmnnn....lessee now... slightly quieter than two running Hondas... more power than two running Hondas.... less expensive than two running Hondas....
less maintenance/fewer spark plugs/only one oil change to perform versus two Hondas.... TOUGH DECISION!

$850 at Costco. I've heard these are the same unit, just labeled differently for different stores but I haven't personally confirmed that. https://www.costco.com/Champion-DUAL...100284958.html

Yes, the 3400 and the 3500 are the same. That Costco one is not a 3400. Or a 3500. Its less than 3000.

I bought the 3400 for $1000 including freight. Quiet, runs great, electric start is great, and fits under my bed cover.. I only run it on propane, don't plan on ever putting gas in it.

I've had and used both two Honda eu2000i's and the Champion. The Champion sound level is comparable to 2 Hondas running. Best thing is you don't have to carry around volatile, flammable gas in your truck...propane is much more stable, never gets old, and easy to find. Slightly less power on propane but, plenty to run one a/c unit. I got 14 hours run time on one 20 pound tank at 50% load.
